Business Trip To Iraq

G&E Sales Explores Business Opportunities in Iraq:

A Recap of Our Business Trip to Baghdad

In our pursuit of expanding our global reach, G&E Sales embarked on a business trip to Baghdad, Iraq in October 2022. Our itinerary was packed with productive meetings and discussions with key Iraqi officials and business representatives.

According to the World Bank Iraq Economic Monitor, Iraq's economy is rebounding, with GDP growth forecast to reach 8.7% in 2022.

Our trip began with a visit to the German embassy in Baghdad, where we had the opportunity to discuss the current business climate in Iraq with the embassy officials. We also met with the Managing Director of the Iraqi Central bank to gain insights into the country's financial system and the potential for investment opportunities.

During our stay, we had several meetings with Iraqi ministers, like from the Ministry of Agriculture, council of ministers and ministerial representatives (Ministry of Planning, Ministry of Construction, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Water). The focus of our discussions was on environmental, agricultural, construction, water, and energy topics in Iraq. We exchanged ideas and explored potential collaborations with the aim of promoting sustainable development in the country.

One of the highlights of our trip was meeting with Iraqi start-ups. We were impressed by their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial spirit, and we discussed how we could support their growth and development.

We also had the privilege of attending the German National day celebration at the embassy where we could meet the German ambassador. It was a great opportunity to network and connect with German and Iraqi business representatives, and to celebrate the strong relationship between the two countries.

Overall, our trip to Baghdad was a success, and we came away with a deeper understanding of the business opportunities and challenges in Iraq. We are excited to continue exploring potential collaborations and partnerships in the region as we work towards expanding our global reach.
